Turfmatters was started in 2009 by Dan Nolan. As a graduate of the Cornell Short Course in Turf Management and owner/operator of a fertilization company he started in 1996 Dan has a wealth of knowledge and experience in bringing out the best in your turf. In addition, Dan has a Bachelors degree in Economics from Vassar College and a Masters Degree in Education from Pace University. From 1996-2005 he built, ran and eventually sold his award winning fertilization company. Currently, Dan is the sole proprietor of turfmatters. He values the one on one relationship he creates with his clients. In addition, he feels that hands down the best service in the fertilization and pesticide application business comes from an owner operator. "Knowing my lawns and my clients was crucial to the success of the fertilization company I owned and operated for 10 years. Having first hand knowledge of every application and all paperwork makes for a very comfortable relationship between myself and a client. Applying my background knowledge and experience in the field is important in making applications as well as making decisions. I intend to keep turfmatters small enough to allow this personal service to continue." Dan Nolan was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and currently resides with his wife and daughter in Pleasant Valley. Turfmatters is licensed with the NYSDEC - Business Registration #14827, Pesticide Applicator #C3814211. Turfmatters is insured by Farm Family Casualty Insurance Company.
